Health and Safety Management - we can do it differently

ISO 45001 Industrial Safety Work Health Standard Concept..jpg
  1. Integration of Mental Health and Well-being. Inclusion of requirements related to mental health, stress management, and well-being, address the growing concern of mental health issues in the workplace and promote a holistic approach to employee well-being.

  2. Emphasis on Remote and Flexible Work: The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of remote and flexible work arrangements. Including provisions related to remote work, telecommuting, and flexible work, effectively manage the health and safety risks associated with remote work, and ensure that employees working off-site are adequately protected.

  3. Focus on Human and Organizational Factors: Human and organizational factors, such as leadership, culture, communication, and decision-making, play a significant role in occupational health and safety performance.

  4. Incorporation of Emerging Technologies. Including provisions related to the safe use of emerging technologies, risk assessments, and mitigation measures in ISO 45001 could help organizations effectively manage the evolving risks associated with technological advancements in the workplace.

  5. Integration of Supply Chain Safety Management. Expanding the requirements related to supply chain safety management, such as supplier evaluations, audits, and performance monitoring, ensure that suppliers and contractors comply with appropriate health and safety standards, and promote a safe working environment throughout the supply chain.
